ANZAC Trip by Akol
On Wednesday the 3rd of June we went to Te Papa and the National War Memorial. Me and my group were with Tavie’s mum. We went to Te Papa. I was scared because there was a video of a man with a gun and it looked like he was going to shot me. I learnt a lot about World War One. Next we went on the bus to the National War Memorial Park. Will signed up for World War One and he got shot on the arm. Then we went to the tower to put the wreath. After that we went back to school and played some games. The bell rang and I went home for a nap. I learnt war is not nice because you could die.

On June the 3rd I woke up and got ready for school. Mrs Brown checked for a good lunch. We got on the bus very quickly. “Bang” went the door we started to go. I felt tired on the bus. When we got to Te Papa we ate some food. I learnt more about ANZAC and I saw statues. There was blood on the statues. Next we went to the National War Memorial Park. We ate lunch. We went inside. I saw a big tank. We smelt inside, it was hot and smelly. I saw a big cannon. I saw Will he got shot on his arm. Will was a soldier in world war one. Next we went back on the bus. When we got back to school we played some games. After that we went home.
ANZAC Trip by Darla
On Wednesday the 3rd of June we went on a trip to Te Papa and the National War Memorial. The whole school, parents and teachers went. I learnt about Anzac and the first world war. We got out of the bus and we ate morning tea. After that we went inside Te Papa. I saw big statues of soldiers and blood. I saw guns too. I was scared. I told Angela I was scared and she gave me a hug. Next we went to the National War Memorial. I saw a big tank it smelt like stinky socks. We saw the unknown soldier, he is a New Zealand soldier who died in war. When we went back to school I said “that was an amazing trip but I am tired!”
